From the humble beginnings of Rushlift Mechanical Handling in Bishop Auckland in the early 1980’s, Rushlift has grown quickly in the last few years, having acquired Lex Komatsu South Ltd, SMH Ltd and Peter Turner Fork Lifts Ltd to form Rushlift Ltd. In February 2015 Rushlift was acquired by Doosan Corporation through their subsidiary Doosan Industrial Vehicles UK Ltd.
Doosan Corporation's worldwide activities range from building and maintaining power plants, including nuclear power, desalination plants, heavy equipment, engine manufacture and industrial vehicles. In the UK Doosan Babcock build and maintain the plant infrastructure for the power, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Rushlift’s innovative approach to providing materials handling solutions goes beyond the traditional approach to selling or hiring of equipment, and is backed by a unique web based Fleet Management System (FMS) that not only provides customers with real time information on the equipment and their account with Rushlift, but allows them to log and track breakdowns in the same way as the depot service team.
