Job Lead SHEQ & Wellbeing, Seaton Carew

We’re looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Lead SHEQ & Wellbeing professional to join our team and shape the next chapter of our growth.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll take ownership of our SHEQ and Wellbeing strategy across the business — from warehousing and logistics to head office operations.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive compliance, embed a culture of proactive safety, and champion wellbeing across every level of our organisation.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and delivery of our health, safety, environmental, quality, and wellbeing strategy.
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
• Develop innovative wellbeing initiatives that build resilience and support positive mental health across all teams.
• Coach and empower managers to embed “safety-first” and “wellbeing-aware” behaviours.
• Provide clear KPIs, data, and insights to the Board to inform decision-making.
• Support and maintain FSC certification.
• Continuously identify opportunities for improvement, sustainability, and cultural engagement.
  

About You

We’re looking for someone who can combine technical expertise with emotional intelligence, inspiring teams to take ownership of safety and wellbeing.

You’ll bring:

• Proven SHEQ leadership experience, ideally within logistics or warehousing.
• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of UK H&S, environmental, and quality legislation.
• A track record of delivering transformational cultural change and impactful wellbeing initiatives.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills — with the confidence to engage at all levels.
• Most importantly, you’ll have a genuine passion for creating safe, healthy, and thriving workplaces.

Salary: £40,000–£50,000 (depending on experience)
